Children and Screens as a nonprofit Institute that studies the impact of digital media on children's lives and development.
As the in-house designer for the past 4 years, I collaborated on a significant rebrand while synthesizing academic and scientific research into compelling graphics and public-facing communication for parents and policy-makers.
Ask the Experts
Webinar Series
Children and Screens’ flagship Webby-nominated #AskTheExperts webinar series brings together interdisciplinary panels of experts across the fields of education, public health, child development, psychology, psychiatry, advocacy and more to address pressing issues on digital media’s impacts on child development.
Every webinar is heavily promoted across digital platforms, thus requiring a distinct identity to communicate the topic and attract a general audience.
Featuring a panel of experts led by a skilled moderator, each webinar requires a suite of promotional graphics that will be used for promotion and archival purposes, as each event is recorded and published for later viewing.
Screen Deep Podcast
Nominated for a Webby Award in the competitive Science and Education (Podcasts) category two years running, Screen Deep explores the latest research, landmark studies, and expert perspectives on how digital media influences child development. Aimed at intellectually curious listeners, the podcast combines clear, compelling storytelling with thoughtful conversations rooted in rigorous research.
Conceived by Creative Director Celeste Schaefer-Snyder, this new podcast required a distinct brand identity that could stand on its own while coexisting seamlessly within the broader Children and Screens umbrella.
Like the Webinar series, every podcast episode requires a series of promotional graphics for social media, newsletters and online ads, featuring the guest and their particular expertise.
Childhood Development and Digital Media Guides
This series of digital guides was published by Children and Screens for parents and caregivers to access for free, synthesizing years of research and expert advice drawn from the dozens of webinars and interviews conducted by the institute.
Separated by age ranges, each guide focuses on the specific needs and concerns that children face in these phases of development.
